I was stuck at an 11 handicap and no matter what I did I could not get outta this funk. I knew my problem was a lack of consistency in my golf shots, but for the life of me I couldn’t get there.

And lets face it, to get to that next level in golf you need to develop a consistent golf swing you can trust when the pressure is on.

Then a golf buddy of mine told me drop everything and try this golf training aid he had been using – he said it totally turned his game around.

Not a believer that a golf training aid by itself can actually improve my golf swing, I reluctantly decided to give it a whirl.

At first I struggled with this thing because I was rushing my takeaway. Once I began to use it correctly (after about 20 minutes) I began to hit balls. OMG, my slice was totally gone and I was driving the ball 30 yds further, shot after shot!

I even developed a nice power draw, something I could never do even if my life depended on it.

In fact, 2 weeks later I shot 74 – my best round by far! Now I can’t wait to get back out on the course to see how good I can get. Here’s a link to the review on this product in case you’re interested: medicus driver Reviews

This product burns into your muscle memory a fundamentally sound golf swing so you obtain the consistency you need to improve your golf scores.

Make sure you buy this golf training aid from the official medicus golf site, you’ll get FREE shipping and it will ship within 24 hours.

If you do decide to buy The Medicus on Ebay, CraigsList or ANY place else – BUYER BEWARE!! You may not get the FREE gifts like the Introduction to Stack and Tilt DVD. This ground-breaking DVD will change the way you think about your game by offering a very simple and effective solution to achieving distance, accuracy and consistency in your golf swing. Best of all it builds on what you learn with The Medicus.

…and shipping time could take forever if any of these non Medicus sites have a weak supply chain.

Also, if you have any order issues with any of these non medicus golf Sites, are you confident they will be resolved in a timely manner??…

Something to think about…

Play well.

How To Keep Your Golf Swing Sharp During Winter

Dear Golfer,

If you’re like me and live where the winters are long and cold, you’re always searching for ways to keep your golf swing from seizing up on you come next spring.

I don’t know about you but I wanna come outta the shute next year with a well oiled golf swing!

Through much trial and error, I find the best way to keep my golf swing sharply honed during the winter is to use a mechanism that gives me instant feedback when my golf swing becomes off kilter.

Medicus makes some of the most effective golf training aids in the world for keeping your golf swing razor sharp during the long cold winter. The medicus dual Hinge golf swing aids are great tools for helping pros and amateurs alike keep their swings on plane during their downtimes.

Thousands of professionals and half a million amateurs have benefited immensely from The Medicus, making the Dual Hinge Driver the best selling golf training aid of all time! When you consider how the market is flooded with golf swing aids, being #1 is an even greater differentiator.

If a member of your family is an avid golfer, chances are you often buy them golf gizmos and gadgets for birthdays, holidays, and other special events. Golfers never tire of golf gifts, especially ones that help them with their golf swings. Instead of buying another bogus golf novelty gift for your loved one, why not buy them a golf product that really improves their swing?

Does your loved one already own a medicus driver, 5-Iron, or 7-Iron? If so, why not buy them the other product? Owning a medicus driver and a Medicus Iron helps them to work on different components of their golf game.

If used regularly, the medicus driver improves your drives off the tee. When you hit your driver, you go at least to parallel of your back swing–something you wouldn’t do with your irons. The Driver and the Iron both have different swing planes and tempos. Just as a golfer uses both a driver and an iron during his round of golf, he can too benefit from owning both a Dual Hinge Driver and a Dual Hinge Iron.

Be sure to buy The Medicus from the Official Medicus Site, you’ll get FREE shipping and ships within 24 hours.

If you do decide to buy any of The Medicus on Ebay, CraigsList or ANY place else – BUYER BEWARE!!

You may not get the FREE gifts like the Introduction to Stack and Tilt DVD. This ground-breaking DVD will change the way you think about your game by offering a very simple and effective solution for more distance, accuracy and consistency in your golf swing. Best of all it builds on what you learn with The Medicus.

Also, if you have any order issues with any of these outfits, are you sure they’ll get resolved??…

Something to think about.

Check out how PGA tour pro Dustin Johnson goes through the step by step process to adjust the TaylorMade R11 to his golf swing.

“I’ve never been so dialed in on the tee box. The fitting was quick and simple, three steps and it was totally customized to my swing. I can’t wait to bring this driver out on Tour”
Dustin Johnson, PGA Tour Professional

It’s Very Easy to Adjust the TaylorMade R11

The TaylorMade R11 allows adjustments to be made to match up nicely with your golf swing. TaylorMade has taken adjustability further than it has ever been taken. The R11 is built to independently adjust 3 critical determining factors affecting longer drives; loft, face angle, and flight path. You will also find a new aerodynamic shape encouraging increased swing speed and distance. This eye appealing golf club sports a new color with a lilly-white crown and black club face.

What really gets your attention with the TaylorMade R11 driver – you can not only make a variety of adjustments to the 3 dimensions of distance, but these adjustments can be made independent of each other. For example, let’s say you have the driver hitting with a draw however a little low in trajectory. No problem, adjust the loft and your done. The club will hit the same but with a higher trajectory. And one more thing, this can all be done at the driving range quickly and easily with the included wrench. You can fine tune this driver to your liking right there on the spot.

Play well,

Let’s get something dead straight before we start…

I have never believed in using golf instructional guides by themselves to improve your golf game.

Really, I don’t…

It seems more and more now these golf instructional guides all have great sales pages promising instant cures in your golf swing. New golfers see “You will play like a golfing god in 2 weeks“, and think “wow! GOLFING GOD huh, here’s my credit card info.”

Then the same golfers who bought the golf instructional guides realize that a list of instructions mean nothing on it’s own – only after wasting their cash on the ebooks…and then the next hot golf instructional book comes out and the cycle repeats itself.

Great for the guys who sell the golf books, pretty crappy for the poor new golfer who bought it.

So you can imagine my reluctance when The Simple Golf Swing ebook came across my desk for review.

It was written by David Nevogt who claims he has helped tens of thousands of golfers around the world improve their golf game.

I did some research and to my surprise The simple golf Swing is currently the No.1 selling golf instructional system online.

Okay, so it sells well, so what??

As I began to peel back the onion on The simple golf Swing, I became intrigued by something I have never seen taught before in any other golf instructional guide – “The concept of swinging around a stable spine axis to promote power and consistency.”

Most golf instructional guides simply mention this in passing and never give credence to this very important golf swing concept.

I have always been a huge advocate of swinging around a stable spine. When someone says “You lifted your head up”, what they really mean is you lost your spine angle – one of the most common faults of the average golfer.

The truth is most weekend golfers do NOT keep their spine angle stable throughout the golf swing.

I know what you’re saying – “easier said than done!”

Simply telling a golfer to “Keep your head still” doesn’t work because then the same golfer becomes restricted and doesn’t make a proper shoulder turn – losing precious yardage as a result.

Here’s the deal…

If you wanna develop a mechanically sound golf swing you can repeat again and again, it is absolutely critical you find a bullet proof method that teaches you to swing around a stable spine and still make a proper shoulder turn…

And the way The simple golf swing teaches you this is so easy it’s down right spooky!

Main Benefits Of The simple golf swing:

1. The simple golf swing contains a step-by-step guide with detailed photos to teach you the correct way to grip the club. Instructions for the interlocking and the overlapping grip are included. You learn the best grip for your swing.

2. Learn a method to check your grip the club the same way for every shot.

3. Learn a procedure to ensure your grip promotes straight ball flight.

4. Learn a secret to align the club face so you don’t push the ball right. This is a problem many golfers face, but luckily it is an easy one to fix.

5. Learn the revolutionary setup. The simple golf swing setup allows you to swing around your spine. The key is to limit the amount of horizontal and vertical body movement during the swing. This setup automatically gives you the correct swing plane promoting consistency and power. It’s given to you in a step-by-step procedure and is easy to remember on the course.

6. Learn to get to the top of your backswing, and how to get into the same position for every shot. The Simple Golf Swing teaches you an inside-out swing you can use to automatically hit the fairway.

7. Learn where to stop your backswing. The Simple Golf Swing teaches a shorter backswing than most. A short backswing promotes consistency, and increased distance. Remember, golf is a game of opposites.

8. Discover the distance secret many instructors don’t even address because it’s so hard to teach. Here’s a hint: A simple Hand Action to increase your swing speed by 10 mph.

TheSimpleGolfSwing.com

Check out this slow mo video analysis on Tiger Woods’ golf swing. Notice how he swings around a stable spine keeping him on the correct swing plane.

Tiger has very little lower body turn combined with an incredible shoulder turn giving him what top PGA tour swing instructor Jim McLean calls “high X Factor” - the difference between lower body and upper body coil.

Because Tiger is so stacked at the top of his golf swing, he generates an insane amount of power on the downswing – a pure golf swing if there ever was one!

So what can you learn from Tiger’s swing?

In a nutshell – “swing around a stable spine“

Watch how stable Tiger keeps his spine during the backswing as he coils up like a cobra.

So you’re probably asking yourself right now if there is a golf teaching system where you can learn how to swing just like Tiger does?

A system that teaches you how to swing around a stable spine…

The truth is, there is a golf training system that teaches a bullet-proof golf swing any golfer, regardless of ability, can learn very quickly and easily.

Learn the whole system in about three hours. And two weeks later, you’ll be playing great golf!

Dear golfer,

Let’s face it, there are only 3 factors that determine distance and trajectory of the golf ball:

1. The path of your swing in relation to your target line.
2. The position of your clubface at impact in relation to your target line.

3. The speed of the clubface release through the ball at impact.

Lemme explain…

If you’re swinging over the top (swing path left of your target line) and your clubface is closed in relation to your target line, you will pull/hook your shots to the left (ball starts left then curves even more left).

On the other hand, if your swinging too much from the inside (swing path right of target line) and your clubface is very open in relation to your target line, this will cause you to push/slice your shots to the right (ball starts right then curves even more right).

So what’s the best way to fix this?

The truth is, 25% of our brains are devoted to our hands! Think about this for a second – our hands have evolved to be the most intricate and powerful tool we have. It is our hands that allowed us to create the industrial revolution.

So what does all this have to do with the golf swing?

The best way to create tremendous power in the golf swing, and control swing path and clubface position is with our most powerful and intricate tool we have – OUR HANDS!

Let me make an illustration that will explain this important mechanical concept in the golf swing. Try to hammer a nail without breaking your wrist, just use your arms and body and keep your wrist rigid, not much power, right?

Now hammer the nail by breaking only your wrist, no body, no arms, much more power – right??? You’re using angular and centrifugal forces to create power with very little effort.

Much like the golf swing!

Plus you’re much more accurate hammering the nail when using your hands as opposed to your arms and body.

Have you ever seen a trick shot artist hit a golf ball 300 yards while kneeling on the ground? This goes against the widely held theory in the golf community that it is the legs and hips that creates power in the golf swing.

How do you think this trick shot artist generates all this amazing power while on his knees?

Effortless power comes from a full release of the hands through the impact area. Remember the hammer example I gave you? This is how a 150LB person can crush 300 yard drives. They have learnt this important mechanical golf swing concept.

By far the most important factor in the golf swing is a full hand release through the golf ball.

If you can learn how to master the hand release, you will have found the secret to great golf!

In case you wanna read more on how to use your hands to hit the ball long and straight, check out this site: http://golfswingeureka1.blogspot.com/

The US Open is one of the most famous tournaments on the PGA Tour. There are a handful of tournaments that are known as Major Tournaments. These tournaments are comprised of the British Open, Masters, US Open and the PGA Championship. Every year the players on the PGA Tour make sure to attend these tournaments in hopes of adding a Major Championship to their records.

?

The 1970 US Open was very different than the US Open is today. In today’s golf tournaments there is a lot more money on the line than there was in the tournaments in 1970. The winner of the US Open was only scheduled to make 30 thousand dollars. The next best finishes would make 15 thousand dollars. From there the amounts were lower than 10 thousand dollars for each finisher in the tournament.

?

The US Open has been dominated by American golfers for years. In fact, there had not been a US Open Champion from Europe since 1970 until 2010. 1970 was truly a memorable moment in men’s golf as history was made.

?

There were certainly a lot of American players up towards the top of the leader board in this tournament. Dave Hill was the top America, followed by Bob Lunn, Ken Still, Miller Barber, Gary Brewer, Billy Casper, lee trevino and Larry Ziegler. There were actually only three non-American players on the leader board around those names. These players were from three different countries: England, New Zealand and Australia.

?

While there were a ton of Americans around, these three players kept fighting to make their way to the top. Unfortunately, Bruce Devlin of Australia was unable to keep pace. He finished in a tie for 8th place with a score of 6 over par. This tournament was a very difficult one as only one player was under par for the tournament. Devlin was tied with Casper, Trevino and Ziegler for the 8th place spot.

?

7th place was held by Gary Brewer at 5 over par. He was beaten out by Ken Still and Miller Barber. Still finished at 3 over par for 5th place and Barber finished at 4 over par.

?

Bunn Lunn and the New Zealander battled it out but ended in a tie for 3rd place in the tournament. Lunn and Bob Charles finished at 1 over par in the tournament. Charles actually had a stellar finish to the tournament to get to 1 over par, shooting a 67 in the final round.

?

Dave Hill of the United States was the only American to finish at par. He looked like he’d have a chance entering the final round as he was down 4 strokes. Unfortunately he was unable to come through and shot a 73 in the final round.

?

Tony Jacklin of England finished with a score that was far superior to any other player. He did not have a round in the tournament that was worse than 71 and finished at 7 under par. This gave him the victory by 7 strokes.

Copyright (c) 2009 Scott Cole

A golf student of mind recently asked me about subscribing to an online newsletter that provides mental golf tips. Do to the popularity of the game, there is now a lot of material dealing with the mental aspect of the game.

However, not once have I ever heard of a top player, and I mean a top player such as Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Tom Watson, ever employ the services of a sports psychologist or mental coach. What a lot of these mental coaches do, however, is imply that they know the mental secrets of Nicklaus and Woods, as if the average golfer can apply them to their own game.

Whenever I have heard of any Tour player employ the services of a sports psychologist, that golfer is usually someone who is desperate to find the answers as to why they can’t win more golf tournaments. In my view, the answer to that question is simple: they are not mentally tough enough because they don’t have enough confidence in their own abilities.

Confidence in your abilities is the biggest key to being able to perform under pressure. However, confidence does not just appear in your game over night. It appears after a lot of hard work on your game AND by playing a lot of golf!

I just viewed a video of lee trevino. He said “….you won’t learn much from me…I never had a mental approach. I got my confidence from hard work.”

Trevino worked hard on his game, but that is not all. I’ve read stories of him before his days on the Tour showing up for a match with no money in his pocket and making lots of bets. You want to talk about pressure! Well, that is how you simulate the pressure of a golf tournament. You have to repeatedly put yourself in the position where something is on the line when you stand up to the tee on the 18th hole, or you are faced with that all important 6 foot putt. If you never do that with yourself, you will never learn how to deal with the pressure that just comes from playing in the 3rd flight in your club championship!

I find it very interesting that you find very few, if any, books written about the mental game by any top player. Sure, there are books that SPECULATE about how Tiger Woods’ developed his mental toughness, but he has never written about the topic himself. The same may be said about Jack Nicklaus who is arguably Tiger’s equal in terms of mental toughness.

On the other hand, there are huge numbers of books written about the golf swing, putting or short game. The fact is, none of these players worry about the mental game. Instead, they focus on executing their swing as best they can, not on some mental tip that suddenly transforms them into a totally relaxed player!

Gaining confidence to perform under pressure is simply a progression. I remember as a teenager, I was a pretty good golfer, playing to a 2 handicap by the time I was 16. I had won a few small junior golf tournaments. But, every time I would play in the men’s club championship at my club, I would play poorly, usually averaging over 80 for two rounds.

Finally, when I was 18, I broke through. That summer I stepped up my game to play well against more experienced players. In one tournament, a better ball of partners format, we were down two shots with one hole to play, a 550 yard par 5. This was back n 1984. I’ve always been a long hitter, so even playing with a persimmon driver, I could reach the green in two. However, on this occasion, it was playing into a little bit of wind. I hit a decent drive, leaving myself about 260-270 yards from the green. I pulled out driver and hit it from the fairway, best shot of my life. It rolled up to about 25 feet to the right of the pin. I was nervous as could be standing over the putt, but I knocked it in for the eagle! Unfortunately, my opponent knocked in a 15 footer on top of me for birdie, and he and his partner won by a shot.

A few weeks later in our club championship, I shot rounds of 74-68 to finish in a tie for first, and lost in a playoff. Now, I knew how to play a great round under pressure to have a chance at winning.

So, you see, gaining this confidence is not something that happens over night. You can learn all the mental tips you want, but if you have a flawed golf swing and no confidence in the ability of that swing to hold up under pressure, you simply won’t perform.

If you really want to improve your scores, improve your golf swing and work hard on your putting and short game. Also, play as often as possible, and play with a little something on the line! That is how you will learn to lower your scores!

?

Rory McIlroy won the US Open, and he made it look like a breeze. He didn’t break Tiger Woods’s record for largest victory, but that was about the only record McIlroy didn’t break. He finished at 16 under par with a total score of 268, both easily records for the US Open. Before McIlroy, only two other golfers had ever been as good as 12 under par at any point in the tournament. But the scoring record is what is remarkable, especially considering that McIlroy is only the fifth player since the US Open expanded to four rounds to shoot all four rounds under par, and the third to shoot all four rounds in the 60s. Even Tiger didn’t do that in his epic 2000 win. Here is a look at the other four players to shoot all four rounds under par.

?

1968 – lee trevino

?

Trevino became the first golfer to play all four rounds in the 60s at the US Open. He shot a 69 and a 68 in the first two rounds and followed those up with a 69 in each of the next two rounds. Trevino played his rounds at the Oak Hill Country Club, beating Jack Nicklaus by four strokes. It wasn’t a dominating performance, but it was consistent.

?

1970 – Tony Jacklin

?

Jacklin managed to shoot all four rounds under par without breaking 70. Playing on the Par 72 course at Hazeltine, Jacklin shot 70 three times and 71 once. That consistency was all he needed as he won by seven shots. Not only did Jacklin finish under par in each round, but no other golfer finished under par for the tournament.

?

1993 – Lee Janzen

?

Janzen set a scoring mark that stood until 2011 when he finished with a total score of 272 at Baltusrol in New Jersey. Janzen would only win by two shots, holding off Payne Stewart in the end. But he built a huge lead by shooting 67 in the first two rounds, the only golfer to finish under par for both of those rounds.

?

1994 – Curtis Strange

?

At Oakmont Country Club, Strange had the strange misfortune of shooting under par but failing to win the tournament. In fact, Strange in fourth place, one shot out of a three way tie for first place. He shot 70 in all four rounds on the Par 71 course. Ernie Els won the tournament, beating Colin Montgomerie and Loren Roberts in a playoff. Besides the Oakmont Country Club, it is a coincidence that there is a wholesale golf clubs online. There are considerable numbers of drivers, such as Titleist 909 D3 Driver.

?

The Titleist 909 D3 Driver is a 440cc, high performance titanium driver with a full pear profile that produces mid launch with low spin, balanced for trajectory and control.
